SCKLS is pleased to offer new directors and/or new library staff a four-hour, in-person, hands-on weeding training at a member library. Members of the SCKLS Weeding Team will work side by side with the member librarian to weed one shelf from each section of the library, explaining the decision-making process and offering guidance throughout.

As part of this service, SCKLS will provide the library with a copy of the C.R.E.W. Weeding Manual and a “Withdrawn” stamp for marking discarded books.

Completion of the webinar Evaluating and Weeding Your Library Collection is a prerequisite for this training.
