Foundation
South Central Kansas Library Foundation (SCKLF) is a Kansas not-for-profit corporation created to promote and support community and school libraries in the South Central Kansas region. The 149 libraries serve 762,000 Kansans in a 12-county region.

SCKLF History
In 2006, a group representing the 149 South Central Kansas libraries determined that in the face of limited state and county resources, a region-wide funding mechanism should be established in order to promote, enhance, or at least maintain current public and academic library services throughout the region.

In order to ensure many of the smaller libraries could sustain at least a minimum level of services, a region-wide comprehensive plan was developed and assertive measures to secure additional funding were taken.

SCKLF Commitment
The South Central Kansas Library Foundation is committed to providing support, services, and activities to libraries in South Central Kansas in the form of grant funds and other resources that will maintain and/or enhance library services throughout the 12-county region of the South Central Kansas Library System.
