Grants

As part of its comprehensive, well-rounded set of services, the South Central Kansas Library System offers our member libraries opportunities to access supplemental funding in multiple grant categories. SCKLS returns half its budget in grants to our members, while the remainder of the budget is returned in services and programs.

SCKLS Gives Back
SCKLS awarded over 480 grants in the past year to our members. For specific grant information, visit the pages below.

New Grant

For the first time in Fall 2008, school and special libraries that provide more than 50 interlibrary loans annually to other libraries will be eligible for a new Resource Sharing Grant program.

As a condition for SCKLS membership, participating libraries agree to provide a free library card and free interlibrary loan services, subject to local borrowing rules, to any individual who requests them and who lives within the 12-county region of SCKLS.
